Here are my top three tips for drivers in LA.
One, drive defensively. Always assume that the person next to you, in front of you, behind you is going to make a mistake. Be cautious, be careful.
Two, leave your ego at home. Somebody cuts you off. Who cares? Nobody cares. You would just want to get home safely.
And number three, scan the road. Make sure there are no pedestrians, no children running across the street, or no bicycles coming around.
