Erik Harper

Erik Harper is a seasoned litigator with close to 20 years of practice experience in diverse practice areas including appeals and personal catastrophic injury. Mr. Harper served as a Staff Attorney for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and a Panel Attorney with the First and Central Districts Appellate Project appointed to advocate for indigent defendants appealing felony convictions and sentences. 

As a Pro-Bono Attorney

Mr. Harper represented and obtained asylum for a Somali national after the Somali man fled persecution from the international terrorist group, Al-Shabaab. Mr. Harper also successfully briefed a case for Latinos Unidos de Napa, a low-income housing group, appealing dismissal of their lawsuit against the City of Napa based on statute of limitations grounds. The Court reversed the dismissal and clarified how to count a statute of limitations period pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure §12.

As a Plaintiff’s Attorney

Mr. Harper further honed his civil litigation practice at Wilshire Law Firm and Morgan & Morgan. Most recently, Mr. Harper secured a $2,500,000 settlement in a confidential personal injury case.
